We are stoked to have a German wave champion: Holger Beer …
It is not Philip Köster or Klaas Voget it is our Holger Beer on Quatro Windsurfboards. This is unbelievable but it is the truth! After 3 stops of the DWC (German Windsurf Cup) he goes for victory.
What has to be said is that Holger is not a professional Windsurfer. He has a Job and he is a great guy. Holger’s dedication for the sport is huge and If he has the chance to go on the water he will be out there- no matter if there are good a bad conditions.
Here is what he has to say:
Dear sponsors,
it could be summarized quite simply:
Holger Beer is the happiest German champion of all time 😉
Last weekend, the German champions were crowned on Sylt and I had the honor to assume the German championship title 2012 in the Wave discipline.
I am ranked before Klaas Voget and Phillip Köster because I have participated in all events. In terms of regulations I deserve the title
but I have to admit that I would have been not at the top of the podium when Klaas Voget and Phillip Köster had attended all the events.
In terms of performance I have to say that they are better for sure. But my attitude seems to be professional and if I continue to make such a good progress, I might even keep up with the pros someday (okay, it is never enough for Köster ;-)).
Finally, I want to thank you for the great support and look forward to the new season and a nice cooperation.
Aloha
Holger
